Work in Progress

Preface

"A specter is haunting pride, the specter of Marcism."

So began the edict creating a grand political and social doctrine dictated by notorious dad Marc D'Amelio. At the time these words were bold, but his convictions have been repudiated with time. As an effort to consolidate the scattered Marcist ideology this book was compiled, a collection of tweets from Marc D'Amelio.

Book of Deletions

Though only one (deleted) tweet, Deletions 1:1 is the essential element to understanding the political perspective and tasks of the modern Marcist movement. Without the context it provides, one might assume that Marc D'Amelio lived in Connecticut his whole life, that he was white, or even that he didn't "feel inadequate".

1:1 Not sure when I became a 'white guy'... I grew up an Italian boy from New York with the last name D'Amelio living in Connecticut. I always felt inadequate. We all have a story that our skin color may not tell.

Book of Valuations

The Book of Valuations, a saga spanning only a few months in 2021, gives important insight into the image of a D'Amelio lifestyle. Within months, Marc went from asking basic questions about cryptocurrency, to making highly risky invesments, to seemingly being sponsored by a coin himself.

2:1 Is buying cryptocurrency investing or gambling?
2:2 Which crypto currency should I buy and why?

In this early stage of his experience in the Book of Valuations, Marc asks simplistic questions of his mostly adult fanbase. It is worth asking, how much does he know? Was this only a rhetorical strategy?

It is likely that Marc was hiding his investing skill.

2:3 I own cryptocurrency. I understand the risk and am prepared to lose. I only use funds that I can afford to lose. I own BTC, ETH, DOGE & $FEG and I plan on holding. I do not advise people to buy a particular currency because I am not an expert and have no idea what I’m doing.
2:4 Charli wants a Bitcoin for for her birthday. I said no but I am buying her a few trillion $FEG - Happy Birthday Charli @FEGtoken @charlidamelio

In the final section of the Book of Valuations, Marc reveals that he is a seasoned investor, and promotes a cryptocurrency as though he were sponsored by it.

Book of Duckilations

Marcists have yet to fully understand the significance of Marc D'Amelio's brief but passionate infatuation with ducks. Given the attention it was given by Marc himself, it is likely extremely important to his perspective.

3:1 Charli wants a pet duck and a cow. I said no but I kinda want them too. D’Amelio Farm has a nice ring to it.
3:2 Looks like Twitter would rather we get Charli a duck over cryptocurrency for her birthday. Did I hear that right?
3:3 Me cleaning up after the duck.
3:4 Dogs > Ducks
3:5 I don’t give a duck
3:6 The only way a duck will end up at our house is by Dixie. Dixie is a rule breaker and duck enthusiast.
